SPECIAL PRODUCTS
PEFIPRESA offers new generation fire protection systems using different approaches to protect against all types of risk. The MINIMAX RDI department in Germany develops and tests new solutions at its fire laboratory in Bad Oldesloe.

PERMATEC
Permanent Inertisation system. One of the essential agents required for a fire to spread is oxygen. PERMATEC uses atmospheric air, which is compressed and filtered through a membrane system to obtain 95% pure nitrogen. This Nitrogen is conveyed through the protected premises, resulting in a sufficiently low oxygen concentration to prevent fire from developing, which is permanently maintained.
PERMATEC has been installed in several deep-freeze distribution warehouses in Spain, and it protects storage buildings of up to 28 metres in height.
PERMATEC is suitable for use in buildings such as refrigeration warehouses, server rooms, archives or museums.

WATER MIST - MINIFOG
Revolutionary LOW PRESSURE water mist system. The innovative design of our nozzles and sprinklers allows drops of water mist to be generated with no need to resort to costly, complicated cylinders, high pressure pumps or stainless steel pipes.
MINIFOG is a system with all the capacities and advantages of water mist, but which uses the same pumping unit, pipes and accessories as a conventional automatic sprinkler system.
MINIFOG can be used for the following risks:
- Cable tray protection
- Protection of objects and machines
- Protection of robotized car parks
- Etc.
WATER MIST - ECONAQUA
This is the version of MINIFOG for protecting low and ordinary risk buildings such as offices, hotels, museums, etc.
Econaqua is designed in a similar way to an automatic sprinkler system, but it can combat the fire with a much smaller amount of water, making it ideal for preventing the damage sometimes caused by conventional sprinkler discharge.
In addition to a major cost reduction due to the smaller pipe diameter, EconAqua also drastically reduces space requirements for the pumping unit and fire water tank.

KS-2000
Automatic fire extinction system for industrial kitchens. KS2000 uses an aqueous product with a foam generating component which makes it ideal for protecting deep-fat fryers, griddles, etc. With KS-2000 there is no need for CO2 to be used in kitchens.

ONE-U
Fire protection for high-cost servers and other electronics cabinets is made simple thanks to the PEFIPRESA-MINIMAX One-U system.
One-U is a 19" module that can be coupled to any standard electronic equipment rack. Inside it is a 2 Kg load of NOVEC1230, triggered by an early detection system by air intake, also incorporated within the unit itself.
Just fit One-U and plug it in to provide your cabinet with the quick, efficient, clean protection you need.

NOVEC 1230
Novec 1230 is a molecule created by 3M that is providing spectacular results for fire protection of computer rooms, archives, etc. Its fire extinction mechanism reduces the energy of the flames, enabling fires to be extinguished with a very small amount of extinguishing agent compared to the traditional inert gas or CO2 systems. Also, NOVEC 1230 is harmless for the environment, making this product a system with a promising future. MINIMAX has developed its own range of cylinders, valves and accessories for installing NOVEC1230 systems. PEFIPRESA, as part of the MINIMAX group, is the distributor in Spain for the MX1230 product range, which includes all the necessary elements, calculation program, etc., for the correct installation of this innovative extinguishing agent.

LOW PRESSURE CO2
Protection against high industrial risks sometimes means spectacular fire extinction installations need to be made in order to fully guarantee fire extinguishing. This is the case for roller mills, large transformers, etc. CO2 can be the best protection option in many of these cases, but the amounts of extinguishing agent are so large that installing high pressure cylinders is unfeasible.
For such cases, PEFIPRESA supplies Low Pressure CO2 extinction systems, where the CO2 is stored in large refrigerated tanks instead of the traditional high pressure cylinders. The low pressure CO2 system is ideal for storing these large amounts of agent in small spaces and guaranteeing the best possible supply conditions.
PEFIPRESA is one of the few Spanish companies that possess the Cepreven qualification as Low Pressure CO2 system installers.

SPARK DETECTION AND EXTINCTION IN DUCTS
Spark extinction systems detect and directly extinguish sparks and lit embers in pneumatic ducts and equipment working in atmospheres with dust, splinters or other explosive atmospheres. Airtight compartments or filters must also be taken into account and integrated within the spark and/or explosion prevention system.
Pefipresa supplies a special extinction system consisting of a spark detector and a deluge valve, which discharges a spray of water into the duct to immediately extinguish the fire and prevent the burning material from being conveyed along the duct.

EXTINCTION IN PAINT CABINS
Paint cabins are a risk involving flammable vapours, solvents, etc. Apart from the risk of loss of equipment, fire in this type of cabins gives rise to production line downtime, which is a totally unassumable risk, in the case of the automotive industry for example.
PEFIPRESA supplies a low pressure water mist-based paint cabin extinction system for this type of risk, with VdS certified design criteria.

WIND TURBINE PROTECTION
Renewable energies are experiencing major development in Spain. Wind power plants are growing in number, with increasingly powerful wind turbines being installed. Wind turbines require very high investment, and the possibility of loss through fire is therefore difficult to assume. A burnt wind turbine means very high replacement costs together with and a very high unavailability cost for the power generation companies.
PEFIPRESA supplies MINIMAX technology for wind turbine protection. There are a variety of solutions, which are studied for application to each particular type of power generation equipment.
